and welcome to www.ringwayreports.co.uk -the Manchester Airport movements reports website.

IN THE REGION ... BAE SYSTEMS WOODFORD

HOMEPAGE

Location

Woodford is located 5 miles North West of Macclesfield on the A5149. The nearest BR station is Bramhall, about 2 miles away. Bus 157 runs from Bramhall station to the aerodrome, but does not run on Bank Holidays. Views across the airfield are available from the golf course.

Please be aware this area is PRIVATE LAND and aircraft enthusiasts have only been tolerated so far because of good behaviour - remember that fact when visiting and do not loiter in this area. A brief check that the aircraft listed below are still present should suffice.

Directions

Pass the main entrance to the airfield on the left and continue until you a Church becomes visible on the same side of the road. Turn left down the road at the side of the Church and follow to the end through the farm and to the golf course.

Hangars can be viewed by passing the main entrance to the right, and continuing to the traffic island, straight on (2nd turning) and after approximately 50 yards turn right into Bridle Road, proceed to the end until emergency gates for the airfield become visible. Looking to the right there is a unmarked footpath along the airfield fence. The path gives views into the hangars if the doors are open.
