Emirates SkyCargo Airbus 310F A6-EFB called in for fuel mid afternoon whilst heading westbound to New York JFK as UAE4991.

Other traffic included an influx of executive aircraft during the day, notables being Galaxy N622SV from Stephenville, Canada early morning as ESV622, Challenger D-AKUE (CLS907) mid afternoon and an evening visit by Compagnia Aeronautica Italiana Falcon 900 I-DIES.

Turkish Airlines assigned new Boeing 737-800 TC-JGO to their afternoon THY1995/1996 flight from Istanbul.

NetJets Europe Falcon 2000 CS-DFK arrived from Nice in the sunshine mid evening using the familiar "Fraction" callsign (NJE420D).

Early morning fog in the south saw with business carriers EOS Airlines and MAXjet Airways divert all inbound flights to London Stansted from the USA into Manchester.

MAXjet Boeing 767-200 N250MY was first in from New York JFK as MXJ100, with sistership N260MY following thirty minutes later from Washington Dulles (MXJ200).

In between, EOS Boeing 757 N401JS touched down from JFK as "New Dawn 2" (ESS002).

Girjet Boeing 757 EC-JTN positioned from Madrid late Thursday to fly for Excel Airways during the day to Skiathos as XLA2408/2409.

Sunday 17th September

Executive traffic was brisk throughout the day, mainly due to the afternoon Manchester United v Arsenal football at Old Trafford.

Notable visitors included Hawker 800XP N529M at midday and later in the day, NetJets Hawker 800XP CS-DRJ arrived at NEA as NJE112T, preceded by Dafgards AB Citation 550 SE-DYR.

The first early morning fog of the season attributed to the visit of Wizz Air Airbus 320 HA-LPC early morning, diverting in whilst inbound Liverpool from Katowice as WZZ105K.

Overnight, Army Air Corps Islander ZG845 arrived from Belfast Aldergrove, staying on the west apron until daybreak.

A shortage of aircraft saw Axis Airlines Boeing 737-400 F-GLXQ cover the usual Air France Fokker 70 flight from Paris CDG late afternoon (AFR2568).

New build Airbus 321 TC-JRA made a first visit from Istanbul mid morning as THY1993/1994, wearing the revised Turkish Airlines livery.

In the early hours, FlyJet acquired use of World Focus Airlines MD-80 TC-AKL and Corendon Boeing 737-400 TC-TJD to cover delayed charters from Dalaman and Corfu as FJE803 & FJE865.

Excellent Air Citation 560 D-CZAR made a mid afternoon visit to the Northern Executive ramp, as GZA5351/5352.

During the evening, Learjet 45 G-SOVB arrived. The aircraft is the former G-OLDJ and should become a regular fixture at NEA.

Excel Airways Boeing 767-300 G-VKNI paid a first visit after dark, positioning in to operate XLA2110 to Crete.

Kuwait Airways' executive Airbus 300 9K-AHI arrived from Luton mid evening as KAC069 for an overnight stay.

A busy day for GA movements commenced with NetJets Gulfstream 550 CS-DKE touching down from New York.
