Manchester Airport, Tuesday 30th November

Jet2 arrived in preparation for their 1st December launch with G-CELI first in fresh from the Bournemouth paint shop as EXS999P wearing the new livery and distinctive Manchester branding. G-CELH followed from Leeds soon after as LS897P.

The afternoon AB8480 from Dusseldorf was operated by Germania-liveried Fokker 100 D-AGPG.

Another change earlier in the day saw Scandinavian 'Ted Rogers' LN-RKI visit in place in the usual MD80 on SK539/540. 

First Choice Boeing 757 G-OOBH appeared from Monarch Engineering at midday sporting new Canadian ID 'C-FOBH' ready for Skyservice winter lease.

Manchester Airport, Monday 29th November

VLM Fokker 50 OO-VLZ paid its first visit (as OO-VLZ) operating to/from London City throughout the day.

Air Berlin sent in a Boeing 737-700 for the first time with D-ABAB seen on the AB8112/3 Paderborn schedule at sunrise.

Cirrus Air Dornier 328Jet D-BGAQ again operated for Sun Air to Billund on their morning flight.

Manchester Airport, Sunday 28th November

VEGA Air Antonov 12 LZ-VED visited, arriving early afternoon and parked for almost three hours. Operated as VEG3701/3702.

Beech Premier G-FRYL (OXE873) paid its third visit in a week, and was present at NEA (where Citation CS-DFT is starting to grow roots!) for much of the day.

The bizjet influx continued, with, amongst others, visits from Premier D-IFMC (nightstop), Citationjet G-CJAD, Gulf 4 CS-DKA and GlobEx N70EW during the day.

Manchester Airport, Thursday 25th November

City Line Hungary Antonov 26 HA-TCN diverted in during the early hours, from Edinburgh and on to Coventry, as "Atlantic 874". 

Later in the day, Dash 8 G-WOWC paid its first visit (if you discount the 1000s of previous appearances as G-BRYO!), operating Air Southwest's Bristol and Plymouth schedules.

Cirrus Dornier 328Jet D-BGAQ positioned in to operate to Billund for Sun Air for the second time this week, during the evening.

Gulf 550 HB-IGM departed mid morning after nightstop whilst as night fell, Oxaero Beech Premier G-FRYL arrived as OXE101.

Manchester Airport, Wednesday 24th November

A busy day for exec movements began with 125 G-OSPG early doors as OXE863 and Citation 550 CS-DHH out to Bristol after nightstop as NJE422P.

The afternoon saw Elbe Air Falcon 20 D-CLBB depart as LBR388B (having earlier arrived as '388A), and RAF BAe 125 ZD620 in and out as RRR1761/"Kittyhawk 26".

Gulfstream 550 HB-IGM touched down late evening for its first, and second of type visit, following in Ryanair Boeing 737-800 EI-CSS -positioning in from Stansted as RYR7P.

Manchester Airport, Tuesday 23rd November

Arrivals for the evening football began with a trio of Star Airlines A320s mid-morning. F-GRSI began the influx as SEU904L with F-GRSD and 'GRSE following as SEU900L & '902L respectively.

Air Mediterrannee Airbus 321 F-GYAR provided additional capacity from Lyon, touching down at a typically damp Ringway as BIE621L.

Netjets Citation XL CS-DFT arrived amongst several other executive inbounds after dark, as "SkyShare 9868".

Air Berlin Fokker 100 D-AGPE paid its first visit ('PK having a rare day off!) on the afternoon AB8480/8481 Dusseldorf rotation.

Earlier, Transavia Boeing 737-700 PH-XRC operated in place of the usual KLM Fokker 100 on the dinnertime KL1082 Amsterdam outbound.

Manchester Airport, Monday 22nd November

Air Horizons Boeing 737-800 F-GRNE touched down late morning as RN1120 from Lyon, with the local football team on board for their midweek Champions League game at Manchester United.

Sun Air debuted a Dornier 328Jet on their morning Billund flight, with D-BGAQ visiting as SUS45/46.

Interesting-to-look-at Boeing 767-300 CS-TLO positioned in from Milan early afternoon as BW990P to operate for BWIA to more warmer territories.

As usual when Manchester United play football on home turf, the exec movement total was boosted. Of note were Citation 500 N80364 and Challenger D-AKUE ("Aristo 1106") both morning arrivals, and Premier G-FRYL after dark as OXE844.

Boeing 747-200 TF-ARW operated the weekly MH6152/6153 Malaysian Airlines freight flight during the afternoon.

Manchester Airport, Friday 19th November

Winter formally arrived at Manchester during a day which saw a chilly reception for Air Berlin Boeing 737-800 D-ABBK on the early morning AB8262 from Berlin Tegel. Later in the day, Germania-liveried Fokker 100 D-AGPD covered the afternoon Dusseldorf flight for a change.

An otherwise quiet day saw Squirrel G-WENA arrived at NEA mid-afternoon. Presume hibernating?!

Manchester Airport, Thursday 18th November

A MyTravel Airbus 320 swap-around at FLS Aerospace during the morning saw OY-VKN arrive from Copenhagen as VKG9992, OY-VKO depart to Filton as VKG9991, and all white OY-VKP move into the hangar.

First Choice Boeing 757 G-OOBJ finally returned to Manchester during a gloomy afternoon, touching down from Norwich as FCA757T now in full livery and ready to enter service.

Former First Choice Boeing 757 G-OOOB was also noted during the day now wearing full Astraeus colours.

Emirates sent 777-200 A6-EMI in on the daytime EK017/018 Dubai flight in place of the normal A330.

Also of note during day was rare type Mitsubishi Diamond N109PW, a late afternoon arrival for a six hour stay on the exec ramp (and not car park level 13, despite the name!)

Manchester Airport, Tuesday 16th November

BAe 125-1000 N513LR remained parked off the NEA apron. The aircraft originally touched down late Sunday evening.

Joining N513LR at NEA at various points throughout the day were Citations CS-DHD, CS-DHM, G-ESTA and G-KDMA.

Notables amongst the schedules included visits from Maersk Air 737 OY-MLW (DM105/106), Air Berlin B738 D-ABAD (AB8264/5) and Air France A319 F-GRXF on the outbound AF1469 early morning.

Jet2 LGW

Low cost airline Jet2 has added another name to its forthcoming new destinations from Manchester. London Gatwick will be served three times daily effective Monday 17th January 2005.

Swiftair ATR 72 EC-IYH operated on behalf of  Air Contractors touching down late evening from Edinburgh  under the callsign SWT 7003.

Manchester Airport, Sunday 14th November

Saturday's Hawker 800XP N32BC made a return, touching down after lunch to park on the exec ramp.

Other execs of note included Citation 560 G-KDMA, in and out of NEA within forty minutes late afternoon and Netjets BAe 125 N513LR, an after dark arrival.

An Air Berlin schedule that Fokker 100 D-AGPK didn't cover during the afternoon (!) was AB8262/8263 from Berlin Tegel. Boeing 737-800 D-ABAQ did the honours on this one. B734 D-ABAH operated the would-be early morning Paderborn departure after a technical delay.

Hola 737-300 EC-IFV positioned in from Manston to fly for bmi Baby to Palma during the day as WW3345/3346.

MyTravel Denmark swapped A320s at FLS with OY-VKO arriving from Copenhagen as DK9992 and OY-VKP out to Filton as DK9993.

Air Berlin continue to vary use of their 737-800 fleet with D-ABAC the AB8481 Dusseldorf departure and D-ABAT first-visited from Hamburg (AB8264).

Another day, another different Maersk. Former Azzurra Air Boeing 737-700 D-AGEY the latest assigned to their midweek Copenhagen schedule, seen before the mist moved in.

Maersk Air Boeing 737-700 OY-MRL operated the early morning flight DM105/106 from Copenhagen.

BAe 146 G-JEAK touched down from Southampton instead of the usual Dash 8 operating BE863.

Mexican Global Express XA-NGS made a welcome return to Ringway today arriving mid morning.

Falcon 50 C-GLRP touched down 

late afternoon joining Learjet 35 N50FN and Premier N61998 on a very busy NEA apron.

Air Baltic Boeing 737-500 YL-BBF became the latest aircraft to operate BT671 from Riga. A first visit.

The morning saw a brief return appearance of RAF Royal Flight BAe 125 ZE395 as KRF19R.

FlyMe Boeing 737-300 SE-RCP touched down mid morning as FLY4127 on a charter whilst football movements for the Manchester derby were aplenty, most notable a first visit from Aer Lingus A320 EI-DEG on a late night extra Dublin flight.

Air France Airbus 318 F-GUGG debuted on the midday AF1969 Paris departure whilst MyTravel Denmark A320 OY-VKP arrived after dark as DK9991 -the latest for FLS attention.

My Travel Denmark Airbus 321 OY-VKA departed north east bound to Stockholm early afternoon as VKG 9994 after a one week stay with FLS Aerospace.

Islandsflug Boeing 737-400 TF-ELY arrived from Keflavik late morning under callsign ICB3544.

Scot Airways Dornier 328 G-CCGS visited from Edinburgh and on to Norwich as SAY800P/800 during the afternoon.

None-too-common Air Transat Airbus 310 C-GTSH operated a revised once weekly TSC324/325 Toronto service during the morning.

Manchester Airport, Wednesday 3rd November

Atlas Air Boeing 747-200 N526MC arrived at Ringway instead of Amsterdam first thing as EK9991 from Dubai. A reported weather diversion.

Travel Service 737-800 OK-TVB joined  nightstopping 737 pair OK-TVD and OK-WGX on Terminal 2 late morning, arriving as QS216 with Prague football fans.

Aba Air Embraer Legacy OK-SLN joined the football inbounds early evening as ABP141.

Notables amongst the more regular flights were Air Baltic B735 YL-BBB on their revised mid afternoon Riga flight, 'domestic' Scandinavian 737-600 OY-KKS on the tea-time SK2550 Stockholm service (adding to last night's appearance by SE-DOR on the same flight) and more Air Berlin 737-800s including D-ABAP from Hamburg (AB8264).

Travel Service Boeing 737-800 OK-TVD touched down mid morning on a football charter from Prague as QS104 to park at Terminal two overnight.

Boeing Business Jet N156QS was noted off NEA after nightstop during the morning.

Air Berlin commenced scheduled services to Manchester with the first two early morning flights operated by B738 pair D-ABAN (AB8262/3 Berlin Tegel) and D-ABBH (AB8112/3 Paderborn). The afternoon saw Fokker 100 D-AGPK assigned to AB8481 to Dusseldorf and finally 737-800 D-ABAG on the AB8264/5 Hamburg flight. Phew!

Having nightstopped after late evening arrival from Monastir on Sunday, JetX MD-80 TF-JXB positioned out to Bologna Forli mid morning as MYT275P.

Sonair Falcon 900EX VP-BEE also departed after nightstop whilst Netjets Boeing Business Jet N156QS touched down at nightfall.
