Edelweiss Airbus 330 HB-IQZ operated on behalf of My Travel arriving in from Zurich as MYT25P, later departing as MYT0 25.

Air Mediterranee Airbus 320 F-GYAI postioned in from Paris to operate for European Air Charter touching down as EAF304P.

Travelcitydirect recently acquired use of former Corsair Boeing 747-300 TF-AMJ as sistership 'AME moves to the Gatwick operation for now. 'AMJ was noted during the day returning from Sanford and out to Sharm El Sheik as EUK131/484.

Triumphant Liverpool football fans began to arrive back in the North West during the day. Spicejet-liveried Boeing 737-800 EI-DIT one notable 'taxi' amongst the many, touching down mid morning as FUA1782.

Of the regular movements, Zoom Boeing 767-300 C-GZNA made its second visit in as many days on OOM326/421.

Skyservice also maintained the Canadian presence, with colourful Boeing 757 C-GMYH assigned to the latest SSV231 charter.

Early morning departures to Istanbul for the Champions league final kicked off with the early airrival of Fly Air Airbus A300 TC-FLK arriving as FLM 5513.

Ex Air Scandic A300 TC-MNY made a return to Ringway joining in the football charters to Istanbul departing as MNB679.

The mass departure of Liverpool supporters on the way to Istanbul for their Champions League football final began in earnest, with, amongst a mix of TC- and G- machines, Turkish Airlines Airbus 321 TC-JMC re-appearing on the morning TK1995/6 again.

Spanish charters saw Futura 737-800 EC-JFB in and out early doors as FUA781P/1781 and Volar/MyAir.com liveried A320 EC-JHJ (the former EC-IEP) assigned to LTE988/989.

The bizzies were busy too, with Gulfstream 5 N410M an early arrival at NEA, joining nightstopping Learjet 60 OY-LJF. Hawker 800XP OE-GHU touched down late afternoon as GDK424.

Air Greenland remained busy at Ringway during the day, with Boeing 757 OY-GRL visiting this time operating outbound to Milan Malpensa as VKG3031.

Turkish Airlines Airbus 321 TC-JMC paid its first visit, from Istanbul, as TK1993/1994 late morning.

A reasonably quiet afternoon saw the visit of Malaysian's colourful 747 9M-MPD "An experience redefined" which became "A wet experience" as it arrived amid heavy rain. OY-GRN A330 of Air Greenland arrived back from Cardiff with a bunch of not-so-happy Manchester United fans.

Earlier in the day, Lufthansa Boeing 747-400 D-ABVH diverted in whilst enroute Los Angeles - Frankfurt as LH457 with a sick passenger.

Today saw an unusual charter in the shape of Air Greenland A330 OY-GRN taking Manchester United fans to Cardiff for the FA Cup final. 

Astraeus used a recently repainted 737 in FlyBe colours. G-STRB has just returned off lease from Air Asia at Kuala Lumpur.

Royal Moroccan Air Force Hercules C130 CN-AON touched down as RMAF 201 mid morning.

Colourful Boeing 757 C-GMYH arrived mid afternoon as SSV230 from Gatwick; to Toronto.

Gulfstream 200 HB-JEB departed after nightstopping with Learjet 60 OE-GII on the NEA apron.

Zoom Airlines commenced scheduled flights between Toronto, Manchester and Vancouver, with Boeing 767-300 C-GZUM operating as OOM220/327 mid morning.

Airlinair ATR-42 F-GPYB visited from/to Manston early doors on behalf of EU Jet.

Air Plus Comet lent Boeing 747-200 EC-IZL to Monarch during the day to fly to Paphos and back, departing as MON7106.

Executive/GA movements aplenty, most notable being TAG Aviation Galaxy HB-JEB (FPG520) and Rockwell Commander N425RR during the morning and Gulf 4 N510MG early evening.

Estonian continue their three times weekly Tallinn schedule with 737-500 ES-ABG operating the latest OV115/116.

Castle Air Charters Citation 560XL G-WCIN paid its first visit to Ringway as such, touching down early afternoon. The aircraft is the former VP-BSD.

Jet Alliance/Cirrus Learjet 40 OE-GGB arrived during the early evening rush, touching down as JAG4507.

Pick of the bunch today undoubtedly went to VIP configured Saudi MD-90 HZ-APF arriving from Heathrow for a four hour stay.

A scattering of Exec jets was seen during the day ending with Falcon 2000 CS-DFF.

This Friday 13th didn't prove too unlucky for execjet enthusiasts, with plenty of variety during the day including a first visit from Citation XL G-LDFM mid-morning.

Canadian Learjet 60 C-FBLU also added to the stats, visiting Northern Executive for just over five hours, either side of midday.

Icelandair Boeing 757 TF-FII departed as expected to Washington during the morning on the first of many planned flights on behalf of bmi, as BD701.

Icelandair Boeing 757-200 TF-FII positioned in late Wednesday in readiness to assist with bmi British Midland's transatlantic operations.

Air Scotland/Greece Airways Boeing 757 SX-BLW was also noted during the day, the former Air 2000 aircraft nightstopped with Monarch engineering.

Gulfstream 4 N396U paid a quick visit to the NEA apron after lunch, parking up for just over an hour early afternoon.

RAF Avia/Air Charter Antonov 26 YL-RAB touched down mid evening as MTL 303F departing after a hours stay as MTL1303.

Estonian Air commenced Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday flights from Tallinn to Manchester with Boeing 737-500 ES-ABI operating the inaugural OV115/116 early morning.

Executive Boeing 767-300 P4-MES touched down mid evening for a first visit, presume in connection with the Manchester United v Chelsea football match.

Beech 350 King Air N1558H made two appearances late in the day, also presumed football-related.

Earlier in the day, Jet Aviation Citation 550 HB-VMX had visited NEA, as PJS102/103.

Novair Airbus 321 SE-RDO positioned in to operate for FlyJet as FJE814 early morning.

Plenty of executive movements today saw no fewer than 7 arrivals including N282CJ C525A.

Lots of holiday traffic today as the holiday season got into full swing. My Travel borrowed A320 OY-VKS from their Danish subsidiary.

Monarch meanwhile showed off their newly acquired 767 G-DIMB.

The biz factor was supplied by new C560XL CS-DFV and KLM rounded off the day with FK100 PH-LMV making its first visit.
