Eagle Aviation Boeing 757-200 F-GTID visited from Larnaca, operating Cyprus Airways CYP358/359 schedule.

MNG Kargo Fokker 27 TC-MBG was a Dublin to Coventry weather diversion, arriving early morning to spend the day on the airfield as NPT421.

Another flight diverted due to conditions elsewhere was CityJet RJ85 EI-RJE as BCY130M whilst routeing Paris CDG to Birmingham.

Exec and GA movements included Citationjet 525A F-GMIR, arriving mid morning for an eight hour visit.

Varig Log MD-11F PR-LGD made a welcome appearance, touching down in the evening sunlight from Dakar as VLO9794 for a two hour+ stay before heading off to Amsterdam.

Smartwings Boeing 737-500 OK-SWV continues to operate Jet2 routes from Ringway, including flights to Milan (EXS703), Paris (EXS703) and Prague (EXS887) during the day, with Futura 737-400 EC-JNU flying Rome & Budapest sectors (EXS791 & 898).

Making use of the 'extra hour' of daylight, Citation 550 G-OBCC visited for the first time from Cambridge and out to Farnborough as callsign "Trafalgar31/32" (TFG031/032).

Emirates sent in newly acquired Boeing 777-300 A6-EBX during the morning on their UAE17/18 flight from Dubai.

Other firsts included the arrival of Boeing 737-800 G-XLAN on an XL Airways charter from Paphos (XLA920), in between two touchdowns from Ryanair 737 EI-DPO from Dublin.

Sun D'or International Boeing 757-200 4X-EBY positioned from Warsaw to operate an outbound charter to Tel Aviv as ERO5216.

Later in the morning, MNG Cargo Airbus 300F TC-MNA flew an ad-hoc freight flight from Istanbul as MNB111/112.

Scheduled first-visits saw FlyBe. DHC-8 400 G-JECT assigned to the morning BEE863. The aircraft features former Southampton football legend Matt Le Tissier nose art (no pun intended). Sky Europe 737 OM-NGH appeared from Krakow as ESK1HM/2HM (186/187).

The evening saw new Sky Europe 737-700 delivery OM-NGJ visit from Bratislava as ESK5KT/6KT (ESK190/191) followed by another appearance from Air Malta Airbus 320 9H-AEP (AMC146).

Beech C90B King Air D-IHMV dodged the hail, snow, rain, wind, thunder, lightning and (unfortunately for the cameras) sunshine to touch down during the afternoon using callsign "FirstFlight090" (FFD090).

Having arrived at Ringway Saturday evening whilst inbound Hawarden from Vnukovo, Moscow-based BAE125 VP-CSP departed mid afternoon, only to return to the NEA ramp soon after with Chester closed.

Coast Air ATR-42 LN-FAP arrived on a charter mid morning as CST83, touching down from Teesside for a weekend stay on the airfield.

Earlier in the day, Gulfstream 5 N5101 arrived before breakfast time to park up off the executive ramp overnight.

'Rarer' of the Finnair Embraer 170 fleet, OH-LEO, made only its second appearance on a schedule from Helsinki, visiting on the morning FIN933/934.

RAF Avia Saab 340 YL-RAG made another sporadic appearance on an ad-hoc freight charter mid afternoon, from Brussels and back home to base (East Midlands) as MTL1407/407F.

A rarer type seen at Ringway, CHC Scotia Dauphin G-BLEZ made a quick 30-minute call from Blackpool early morning.

Air Finland Boeing 757-200 OH-AFJ returned to Helsinki as FIF074P mid morning after a stint with MyTravel Engineering.

The first Airbus 330 to be painted in the new post America West/US Airways merger livery appeared at Ringway from Philadelphia during the morning, with N273AY operating USA1596/1597.

Piper Cheyenne D-IABA visited in the wee small hours, departing to Stockholm after a brief 50-minute spell on the tarmac.

Later in the day, Challenger 604 N609CC was a breakfast time arrival, touching down on Runway 24R amongst the 'rush hour' traffic.

'Hemus Air' Boeing 737-300 LZ-HVB brightened up the morning, assigned to the LZB499/500 Bulgaria Air schedule from Sofia.

Early afternoon saw Aeronova Metroliner EC-JCU (OVA62) arrive on an inbound ad-hoc freight charter, and the ever expanding Boeing 737-800 fleet of Ryanair conjured up a first appearance from EI-DPM from Dublin (RYR554).

Falcon 2000 N310U touched down at dusk.

Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800 TC-JGJ finally visited Manchester, assigned to mid day Istanbul THY1993 schedule.

Belair Boeing 767-300 HB-ISE (BHP1015) made short eastbound trip up the M62 early afternoon having earlier dropped Barcelona FC off at Liverpool for their Champions League tie.

Amongst the usual array of Sunday night traffic, Boeing 737-300 D-AGEJ arrived from Stuttgart as "YellowCab414T" (HLX5414) wearing the new TUIfly identity (+ Leipzig Halle tail art).

Also after dark, Air Berlin sent new Airbus 320 delivery D-ABDN for a first visit from Hamburg as BER8264.

Thomsonfly Boeing 737-800 G-FDZA continues to be based, and flew to Toulouse (TOM857D/858D) & Alicante (TOM877B/878B) during the day, pictured making a crosswind landing mid afternoon.

Shiny new things during the day included bmi British Midland Airbus 319 G-DBCK on the early morning "BMA5QA/2PK" Heathrow shuttle -its first revenue service, and later in the day XL Airways Boeing 737-800 G-XLAK positioned from Bristol to take a planeload to Las Palmas as XLA726.

Sandwiched in between was another XL Airways 737-800 -G-OXLC (the former 5B-DCE and not too familiar in its new guise at Ringway just yet). 'LC arrived overnight and flew a Grenoble round trip (XLA6130) before heading off to Sharm El Sheik early afternoon (XLA7018).

Late afternoon saw a flurry of GA and executive activity, with Gulfstream 5 N83M making the short hop over from Liverpool to nightstop, and the arrival of Beech 90 N290PA amongst other movements.

IceJet Dornier 328JET TF-MIK touched down shortly before noon and will nightstop off the Northern Executive ramp.

Into the afternoon, CRJ-200 VP-BCI made a 90-minute visit whilst over at the terminals, Boeing 737-300 YL-BBK (of G-EZYH & HA-LKR fame) visited for the first time in Air Baltic colours operating BTI67M from Riga.

Earlier in the day, 'silver' Norwegian Air Shuttle Boeing 737 LN-KKZ appeared for only the second time from Bergen (this time in sunshine).
