Gulfstream 4SP N800J touched down from Marseille in the early hours and remained parked on the main apron throughout the day.

Atlantic Airlines Antonov 72 ES-NOI arrived from Coventry during the evening to operate an outbound freight flight to Shannon as AAG839.

Manchester Airport, Tuesday 28th June

Saudi Air Force C130 Hercules pair 472 & 473 arrived within minutes of each other, touching down early morning as RSAF328 and RSAF329 respectively.

A late evening arrival of Goldair's new Learjet 45XR N5017J from Shannon on delivery. The aircraft will soon be G-OLDT. Also noted during the day was Citation 500 G-ORHE.

Air Portugal Airbus 319 CS-TTA postioned in early morning from Lisbon as TP425P, departing to Faro after lunch as TP9733.

Challenger 601 N289K made an afternoon visit to NEA apron, later departing south mid afternoon.

Learjet 60 N232LJ departed back to America after a weekend stay, launching into the blue early morning.

Today saw European Air Charter lease in Air Mediterranee 737-200 F-GCSL.

A military movement saw the arrival of Royal Air Force C130J Hercules ZH882.

EuroManx sent in ATR-42 G-RHUM for its first visit, operating their Isle of Man schedule ULL723. 

The executive side of things was represented by Netjets Hawker 800XP CS-DNL, along with Blackpool-based Agusta 109 G-JMXA using its fixed callsign "JMAX 2".

Air Canada Boeing 767-300 C-GHPA operated their morning AC840/841 Toronto schedule in place of the usual -200 series aircraft.

Manchester Airport, Thursday 23rd June

BAe 125 N904GP returned for its third visit in as many days, touching down during the morning to daystop at NEA.

Also present was Air Ambulance Learjet 35 D-CFAX, which had arrived in the early hours as IFA1204.

Manchester Airport, Wednesday 22nd June

Air Pullmantur Boeing 747-300 EC-IOO arrived from Sharm El Sheik during the early hours as BY521B, operating on behalf of Thomsonfly. The aircraft remained parked throughout a glorious day.

As way of a break from the normal traffic, Royal Navy Sea King XZ597 paid a visit either side of midday as "Rescue 131".

Smart EuroManx Dornier 328 D-CMTM was assigned to their two afternoon Isle of Man rotations, visiting as EMX705/6 + 709/710.

Gulfstream 4 VP-CMR (formerly G-HARF) touched down mid-evening for a brief visit to the Northern Exec apron, which had been kept busy throughout the day with traffic including Beech 90 G-BKFY.

Swiss International upgraded from an Embraer 145 on their evening Zurich schedule, with Airbus 319 HB-IPV assigned to LX380/381.

New FlyBe. Dash 8-400s continue to pass through Ringway on daily services to Southampton, with G-JECI first-visiting late afternoon.

Executive traffic saw Netjets Beechjet 400 CS-DME depart after midday as NJE481P, CJ525 N525AL and BAe 125 N904GP arrive early morning and Citationjet D-IKOP touch down during the afternoon as "Carolus 3205" for a four hour stay.

EuroManx recently introduced yet another type on their short hops over from the Isle of Man. Dornier 328 D-CPRW paid its first visits operating EMX705/706 & EMX709/710 rotations during the afternoon and evening.

Belavia continue once weekly flights to Minsk, with Boeing 737-500 EW-250PA operating BRU853/854 for the first time mid morning.

Manchester Airport, Sunday 19th June

Today saw the first visit of 737-200 relic OM-RAN of Air Slovakia operating the Sky Europe Scheduled service from Bratislava. This frame however is no stranger to Manchester as it is the one time D-ABMD of Lufthansa.

Air Canada sent a Boeing 767 sporting their new colour scheme in the shape of C-FVNM on their AC840/841 Toronto schedule.

Manchester Airport, Saturday 18th June

Zoom Airlines borrowed Ryan International Boeing 757-200 N930RD to operate their first Saturday OOM520/625 Toronto schedule of the summer. Due to a misfiled flight plan, the aircraft actually touched down as "40520".

Adding to the fun, Boeing 767-300 C-GZNA was also present, operating from Glasgow and on to Vancouver as OOM673.

Back to the more mundane, and Aer Arann ATR-72 EI-REG paid its first visit in from Galway then to/from Derry and finally out to Galway as RE517/582 & RE583/518 during the day.

Falcon 2000 P4-IKR was a surprise visitor, present with NEA for just under an hour at midday.

Piaggio Avanti pair I-FXRC and I-FXRD of Foxair were both noted during the day as "Wildfox 18C" and "18D" respectively.

Privatair Airbus 319CJ D-APAB will nightstop after an evening arrival as PTG715.

Completing the execjet roundup, Cirrus Air Lear 60 D-CIMM landed at tea-time for an hours stay as RUS8587.

As well as another array of executive movements (including Citation 650 OY-JPJ and Falcon  20 F-GYPB), it was 'MD-80' day at Ringway, the most notable being Blue Line MD-83 F-GMLI -out to Milan after nightstop as BLE965, and a  surprise appearance from new startup Dubrovnik Airlines with their '83 model 9A-CDA operating a delayed FHE201/202 Malta charter for Britishjet.

Club Airways Dornier 328Jet OE-HAA touched down mid afternoon to park on the NEA apron.

Shamrock Aviation Global Express BD700 N283S arrived late evening, also to park at Northern Executive.

Air Italy 757 I-AIGA was back in action for MyTravel during the day, taking a planeload to Malta early morning as MYT187 and returning mid-afternoon. The aircraft eventually positioning back to Milan as MYT188P.

Boeing 757-200 I-AIGA of new operator Air Italy positioned in from Malpensa during the morning to operate on behalf of MyTravel Airways to Dalaman.

Hello MD-90 HB-JIC visited from Edinburgh and onto Paris CDG on a charter mid morning as FHE6922.

The plane that's had more coats of paint than Blackpool Tower showed off its latest identity crisis today: Flightline BAe 146 G-BPNT currently wears 'U2' livery, whilst acting as transport for the Irish band on their current tour around Europe.

Sky Europe commenced a second low-cost schedule from Manchester to Bratislava during the day. Boeing 737-500 HA-LKP operated the first NE190/191 at midday. Flights are scheduled for Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

MNG Cargo made a second successive Sunday appearance at Ringway with Airbus 300 TC-MNN visiting mid afternoon as MNB1003.

Continental Airlines continued their revised double daily summer programme to Newark, with winglet-equipped Boeing 757-200 N67134 operating CO100/101 and '767-200 N67134 on CO20/21.

Executive jets aplenty throughout the day with Brazilian Falcon 900EX PT-XSC first onto the Northern Exec apron early morning.

Preceded by Citationjet D-IDBW, Challenger 300 A6-SMS touched down mid afternoon and soon disappeared into the NEA hangar.

Other movements of note saw latest China Airlines Cargo Boeing 747-400F B-18720 first-visit on the CI247 Taipei freight schedule, and brief visits from International Business Air pair Brasilia SE-LKC (IBZ303P) and Metro SE-LIL (IBZ610P).

Continental Airlines introduced a second daily service to New York Newark, with Boeing 757-200 N17133 operating the inaugural CO100/101. Boeing 767-200 N68160 was assigned to the 'regular' CO20/21 schedule.

Colourful Skyservice Boeing 757-200 C-GMYH made another visit operating their weekly SSV231 charter from Gatwick, and on to Toronto early afternoon.

Citation 550 G-ESTA made a mid morning visit to the NEA apron along with Swiss TBM-700 HB-KOL.

Sunair continue to operate a mix of Dornier 328 and Jetstream aircraft on there twice daily service to Billund, '328 OY-NCS took charge of the latest "Sunscan 45/46" early morning.

Star Airlines Airbus 330 F-GSEU positioned in at midday to operate on behalf of MyTravel Airways to Ibiza as MYT183/184, eventually positioning back to Paris CDG late evening as MYT184P.

KLM utilised Transavia Boeing 737 pair PH-XRE (KL1093/4) and PH-HZM (KL1087/8), the latter wearing full KLM colours.

Surprise freight visitor was MNG Cargo Airbus 300F TC-MNJ arriving from Istanbul and departing to Cologne just over an hour later as MNB1003.

EU Jet also sent in leased ATR-72 OY-RUC on their evening EUJ377/8 service from/to Manston.

Biz jet activity was the order of the day, maybe in connection with a local boxing match. Gulfstream 5 N55GV arrived from New York Teterboro.

Charters aplenty during the morning, with Freebird Airlines' latest Airbus 320 TC-FBY debuting as FHY601/602 from/to Antalya wearing the ever-popular overall white paintjob.

Aeroflight were back at Manchester again, this time Airbus 320 D-ARFF did the honours for Air Berlin on their morning AB8262/3 Berlin schedule.

Executive movements were brisk, with Gold Air's recently re-registered Learjet 45 G-GOMO (p.i. G-OLDF) 'first visiting' as GDA37A/37B, followed in by ACM Air Charter Citation X D-BLUE, present for an hour as BVR505. Challenger C-FUND touched down early evening.

Aeroflight Airbus 321 D-ARFB positioned in to operate for MyTravel today, departing as MYT105 to Almeria, returning at teatime.

Learjet 35 EC-IIC arrived late evening to nightstop with NEA, touching down as "Star-Jet 402".

Earlier in the day, Swiss Gulfstream 550 HB-IGM paid a visit to Northern Executive as " Batman 005", departing mid- afternoon under the same callsign.
