Executive arrivals started early, with Challenger CL604 N25GG touched down shortly after midnight to day stop at NEA, heading off during the afternoon.

Air Alsie Falcon 2000 OY-CKN made a breakfast-time appearance from Sonderborg and out to Karup, Denmark as "Mermaid4184".

Other expensive equipment noted in daylight hours were Citation X N751GM mid morning and Gulfstream 4 N128AB touching 24R later in the afternoon.

PA-42 Cheyenne D-IDIA arrived mid morning for NEA apron parked, shortly before the departure of GlobEx N720WS (which returned briefly later in the day).

After dark, first visits 'galore', with paint-still-wet Ryanair Boeing 737-800 EI-DPF arriving from its initial base at Shannon (RYR148) and Emirates Boeing 777-300ER A6-EBQ gracing the T2 ramp from Dubai (UAE19/20).

Libyan Arab Airbus 300 5A-DLZ followed on from its previous visit in the early hours of Christmas Day, touching down in the afternoon sun from Tripoli as LAA106.

Hamburg International Boeing 737-700 D-AHIA covered for Air Berlin on their BER8264/8265 Hamburg schedule.

Citationjet 525 D-ISGW landed late morning for a four hour visit as "SkyRunner725", later joined by another CJ525, G-OEBJ of European Business Jet, arriving as EBJ485P.

Turkish Airlines Airbus 310 TC-JCZ visited from Istanbul early afternoon operating THY1995 in place of the usual narrow body aircraft.

Eurowings BAE146 D-AEWN replaced the usual Canadair Regional Jet on the early morning "DLH8LC/8FP" (DLH4880/4881) from Dusseldorf.

Air Contractors continue to rotate their fleet through Manchester, with EI-FXB passing through early evening from Glasgow to Stansted.

Exec traffic included the early morning departure of Hangar8 Citationjet 525A G-OODM after nightstop, and Jet Alliance Citation 560XL OE-GNW in for a visit mid morning as JAG339.

Clear skies were filled by the smoke of a pair of Antonov 12 freighters during the day, with UR-BWM returning in the early hours to spend the morning on the ramp along with LZ-VEE of Vega Air, the latter remaining parked well into the evening.

Exec movements saw Hangar8 Citationjet G-OODM arrive mid afternoon as HGR829M for NEA apron parking, whilst over the other side of the field Airbus 319CJ G-NMAK remained remote having arrived last weekend.

New DHC-8 400 delivery G-JECS visited on FlyBe. Southampton schedules during the day, arriving for the first time at dusk as BEE867M before turning around and heading back as BEE871 mid evening.

easyJet Airbus 319 G-EZMH arrived from Belfast shortly after midnight as EZY646, with the flight re-routed from Liverpool. The aircraft made the short hop west at daybreak as EZY8005.

ACT Air Cargo Airbus 300 freighter TC-ACU paid its first visit either side of noon, touching down late morning as RUN571.

Executive movements saw NetJets Citation XLS CS-DXL in 'n' out early doors as NJE602M, and Learjet 36 N70PJ arriving in the midday sun.

Learjet 35 LX-TWO visited a wind-swept Northern Exec apron briefly, touching down on a medical flight using regular callsign "Lion King 2 Ambulance" (DUK02A).

Later in the afternoon, Citation 550 G-DWJM made a return appearance from Venice and out to Biggin Hill as "Trafalgar21/22" (TFG021/022).

Darkness fell and so did the first snow of 2007. After a temporary closure of the airfield to clear the deluge of big flakes, operations continued with Hapagfly Boeing 737-800 D-ATUC arriving from Hanover using new callsign "YellowCab412D" (HLX4412).

White livery Boeing 727 N25AZ touched down mid evening on Friday for an overnight stay and subsequent day stop on Stand 83R.

Another rare type to visit was Hungarian-registered, UK based Gazelle HA-LFM, hovering in late morning for a brief stay on the light aircraft park.

Mother Nature put the toys back in the pram long enough to allow a spate of 'interesting' movements to occur during the day.

Air Contractors ATR-72 EI-FXI passed through from Paris to Glasgow in the early hours as ABR3LA, showing its former Eurowings (D-ANFE) history.

Volare Antonov 12 UR-BWM then touched down before daybreak for an eight-hour stay on the freight ramp before heading west mid afternoon.

Amongst the more regular traffic, Boeing 737-800 LN-RRU paid its first visit from Oslo as "Scanor609/608" (SAS4609/4608).

A busy afternoon for executive traffic large and small saw Luton-based Airbus 319CJ G-NMAK arrive amongst the King Air's to nightstop.

After a day of big-dipper ride impressions from aircraft on approach, and a temporary closure of the airfield, the storms subsided in time for late evening movements including an appearance from Airbus 319 OO-SSG wearing its new post-SNBA/Virgin Express merger 'Brussels Airlines' identity operating DAT2181.

New delivery bmi Airbus 319 G-DBCJ debuted at Manchester during the evening, visiting on the BMA1QA/3PK Heathrow 'shuttle'.

Hapagfly Boeing 737-800 D-AHLR covered the HLX4412/4413 Hapag Lloyd Express flight from Hanover in place of the usual HLX 737.

Piper Cheyenne D-INNN departed mid afternoon during another busy day for GA and executive traffic.

Work continued on the reconstruction of Viewing Park resident Trident G-AWZK throughout, with the aircraft even leaving the ground briefly!

Dornier 328JET OY-NCO made only its second touch down at Manchester, arriving from Billund after nightfall on the evening Sun Air flight.

Earlier in the day, MAP Executive Learjet 45 OE-GDI arrived mid morning as flight MPJ101 to park on the Northern Exec ramp.

Learjet 35 D-CAVE arrived overnight on an ambulance flight and day-stopped on Stand 200 before heading back to Germany mid afternoon as AMB026A.

G5 Executive Gulfstream 550 HB-IGM departed mid morning as "Batman531" after an overnight stay on the Northern Exec ramp alongside Hawker 400XP F-HITM (MQT53) and Citation F-GLTK (LSR6002).

On a lighter note, Beech Bonanza arrived during the morning to day stop on the NEA light aircraft park, before returning to Wevelgem in Belgium.

A late aircraft change saw City Star Airlines Dornier 328 TF-CSC flew the evening "EZE51K/61K" (EZE805/806) Eastern Airways schedule from Inverness.

Winglet-equipped Air Baltic Boeing 737-300 YL-BBL (HA-LKS + G-EZYJ in a former life) paid its second visit as such from Riga during the afternoon as BTI67M/67L (BTI671/672).

The newest of brand new new-build Ryanair Boeing 737-800s -EI-DPE- dodged the 'carbon emissions' to make it in from Dublin as RYR554.

An evening of Spanish charters included an appearance from Binter Canarias Canary Islands logo jet Boeing 737-400 EC-INQ from Tenerife as FUA9757.
