Monday 30th January

Recently acquired Air Berlin Boeing 737-700 D-ABBT (formerly N744AL with Aloha Airlines) debuted on the morning AB8014/8015 Stansted flight.

Taxi Air Fret Beech 99 F-BTME provided a rare visit of type touching down mid afternoon for a ninety-minute visit.

Chinese Gulfstream 4 B-8080 departed late evening after spending the day on the NEA ramp.

Sunday 29th January

Saudi Boeing 747-400 HZ-AIY arrived at a frosty Ringway from Jeddah in the early hours on the latest Hajj inbound charter, departing to Medina after a four hour stay at Terminal 2, as SV5162/4162. 

Gold Air Learjet 45 'N50126' departed to Biggin Hill early morning -the aircraft having nightstopped after arrival from Wichita via Gander on Saturday evening.

Royal Jet Gulf 300 A6-RJB made a return visit after a brief call on Friday evening, and departed into the blue mid morning. 

Deer Jet Gulfstream 4 B-8080 touched down late evening to eventually nightstop on the airfield with NEA.

Saturday 28th January

Gamston-based Citationjet 525A N357J arrived in early morning clear blue skies for the first of two brief 20+ minute visits to an NEA ramp, which was also graced at various  points during the day by Netjets Hawker 800XP CS-DRG & Citation XLS CS-DXE (NJE870E/H) plus Learjet 35 C-GDJH and Learjet 45 N50126 after dark.

The Danish fleet of MyTravel Airways continue to pass through on routine maintenance: Airbus 321 OY-VKC the latest to position out late morning as DK9994 after a week-long check.

Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800 TC-JGH called in for fuel and a leg stretch overnight on delivery from Seattle to Istanbul as TK8101.

Austrian Arrows DHC-8 400 OE-LGD operated a delayed charter from Bolzano mid afternoon as OS2371/2372.

A procession of executive arrivals after lunch, mainly in connection with the afternoon Manchester United v Liverpool football match at Old Trafford, also included Citationjet 2 OE-FRA -a Leeds diversion due to weather.

City Star Airlines Dornier 328 TF-CSB arrived with another consignment of Icelandic football supporters to join sister ship TF-CSA on the apron at midday as ISL802.

Aer Lingus' latest Airbus 320 EI-DES "St Pappin" made a rare-to-date appearance operating both early morning Dublin rotations.

Ryanair recently commenced a programme to retrofit their fleet of Boeing 737-800s with blended winglets - EI-DCJ being the first such example seen on their FR554/555 schedule.

Cyprus Airways assigned Airbus 319 5B-DBO to the first of their weekend CY506/507 Paphos services in place of the usual A320.

The recent upturn in executive traffic continued throughout the day, with Luton resident Hawker 800XP N125ZZ arriving at NEA mid morning, joining BAE 125 G-CJAA -of the ever expanding fleet of Southampton based Corporate Jet Services -the latter still present from a late Thursday evening arrival.

British Airways cancelled two morning 737 'Shuttle' flights to Gatwick, replacing them with Boeing 777-200 G-VIIT at lunchtime as SHT2914/2915.

Jet2 Boeing 757-200 G-LSAB made its Ringway bow, positioning from Leeds to operate to Edinburgh as LS500 during the afternoon.

Recently acquired KLM Cityhopper Fokker 100 PH-OFL touched down at Manchester for the first time from Amsterdam as KL1081, but technical problems lead to the cancellation of the KL1082 outbound.

The recent influx of Spanish charter aircraft continued during the day with Futura Boeing 737-400 EC-IZG (FUA9751/9752), and Boeing 737-800 EC-JFB (FUA1801) both arriving from Lanzarote.
