KLM
Fokker 100 PH-OFP (the
former PT-MRP) visited for the first time from
Amsterdam on the KLM1073/4 early rotation, whilst at
dusk FlyBe. DHC-8 400 G-JECU made the hop up from Exeter
as BEE375.
Gulfstream
550 D-ADCA diverted in at daybreak whilst enroute Luton
> Liverpool > Stuttgart as DCS614 and later
in the morning, Challenger 600 D-BUSY departed as
"Premium496". Gulf 550 N3050 vacated NEA after
a four day stay mid afternoon.

unusual 'movement' saw Pakistan Int'l 777 AP-BGY
-PIA723- and FlyBe. DHC-8 G-JEDR -BEE866- reportedly get a bit too intimate (the day for that sort of thing was yesterday??!) as the two passed close by whilst
preparing for departure from Runway 24R. The pair
subsequently returned to stand for checks and attention.
The
new look Brussels Airlines continues to appear out of
the merger of SNBA & Virgin Express, with Avro RJ
OO-DWD visiting again from the Belgian capital mid
afternoon as DAT2177/8.
The
elusive to Manchester BA 146 G-OINV positioned down from
the highlands to operate Connect services to Milan &
Brussels during the day.
GA
and exec visitors included another appearance from
Edinburgh Air Charter Beech 200 G-OMGI, this time in
front of the cameras, touching down as EDC116.

560XL HB-VMU touched down late morning as "Jet
Aviation 401" (PJS401) for a few hours on the NEA
ramp.
An
odd movement saw Aurigny ATR-42 G-CDFF arrive mid
afternoon wearing former Air Wales basic livery with
small Flightline fuselage titles, position in on a
EuroManx callsign. The Isle of Man carrier subsequently
cancelled remaining flights across the Irish Sea and the
aircraft left as FLT079P. Phew!
Early
morning problems with a Helvetic Airways Fokker 100 saw
Swiss substitute an Airbus 320 on the daytime SWR394/395
rotation from Zurich with HB-IJV assigned.

morning GA movements almost going amiss amongst the
heaver metal included Gulfstream 3 N163PA displaying a
military livery from its days serving with the Danish

runways in the south. As a result, Manchester Airport
was kept busy with diversions. Pick of the many included

Air Boeing 737-400 LZ-HVA made an appearance from Sofia
during the afternoon operating LZB499 in place of the
usual Bulgaria Air 737-300.
Earlier
in the day, the 'elusive' thus far Ryanair Boeing
737-800 EI-DLW finally showed its hand, making a 2nd
visit from Dublin amongst a flush of Liverpool-based
company 737s, which all went west as RYR01P-05P either
side of midday after an overnight stay.
Another
flight re-routed from Speke was FlyGlobespan 737-800 G-SAAW,
back out to Stansted as GSM051 having arrived late
Saturday.
Providing
a splash of colour in the sun were Titan Airways'
recently repainted Boeing 737-300 G-ZAPM on BA Connect
schedules throughout the day, and classic European
737-200 G-CEAE operating a return charter from Rome
before positioning out to Cardiff.
Delta
Air Lines continue to use Ringway as a stop on their
from Mumbai to New York with 777-200 N865DA again
passing through as DAL17.
TAG
Aviation Global Express HB-JEX arrived as FPG478 mid
morning for a two hour stay on the NEA ramp.
