Boeing 737-300 EI-DVC of Italian freight operator Mistral Air passed through early morning. The aircraft is the former SE-DPC of Falcon Air.

Thomsonfly 737-800 G-FDZA finally made its first visit, operating for KLM from Amsterdam during the afternoon.

Blue Wings/Air Berlin Airbus 320 D-ANNF again flew the early Monday morning BER8014 flight up from Stansted.

Global Express HB-JEX returned from the Caribbean late Sunday and departed to Geneva after nightstop as 'TAG Aviation481'.

Another day, another new airliner in the skies. Boeing 737-700 OM-NGJ debuted from Bratislava after dark on one of the many Sky Europe flights into Manchester.

Royal Air Force C-17 ZZ172 made a brief appearance early morning, departing into the grey off Runway 24L as "Ascot 6643".

Learjet 45 N66DN remained parked on the Northern Exec apron throughout, whilst other 'weekend stoppers', G3 N711UF and Citationjet2 G-OODM (HGR867M) departed at either end of the afternoon.

Exec traffic was the order of the day, with arrivals from overseas from Gulfstream 3 N711UF & Challenger N500PE during the afternoon, plus a visit from Premier G-PHTO (BOO215) after dark, preceded by the departure of Citation XL OE-GTK (IJM369).

First Choice Airways Boeing 757 G-OOBI appeared from the hangar wearing 'Red Nose Day' titles ahead of the Comic Relief bi-annual fundraising event, which takes place on Friday 16th March 2007.

Germanwings Airbus 319 D-AGWC visited from Cologne mid morning as GWI5002, arriving with the Bayer Leverkusen football team for their midweek UEFA game at Blackburn.

Indian Gulfstream 4 VT-PLL was also a morning arrival, touching down for a six hour stay on the NEA ramp.

RAF Waddington based E3 Sentry ZH105 performed a missed approach on Runway 24R during the afternoon as "NATO01".

Citationjet 525B N200GM touched down mid morning to park on the NEA ramp, heading off early evening a short time after NetJets Gulf 550 CS-DKG also departed after a two day stay, leaving for Rotterdam as NJE837P.

Globespan Boeing 737-600 G-CDRA positioned in from Edinburgh to take Manchester United football fans to Lille as GSM7107 -the first of two planned charters from Ringway this week.

Blue Wings former jetBlue Airbus 320 D-ANNF (N531JB) operated the morning BER8014/8015 Stansted flight wearing Air Berlin titles.

Ryanair introduced another new Boeing 737-800 to revenue service on Sunday, and a day later EI-DPK visited Ringway from Dublin as RYR554 early afternoon.

GA & executive movements started early, with latest NetJets Europe Gulfstream 550 CS-DKG touching down in the early hours as "Fraction771M" from Cape Town to park off the NEA ramp.

Later in the morning, Beech 350 D-COEB made a brief visit to Northern Executive, whilst recently registered King Air G-MEGN couldn't make it into Leeds due to weather so chose Manchester.

Qatar Airways' new Airbus 330-300 A7-AEI visited again from Doha, departing into the blue early morning operating QTR042.

KLM Fokker 100 PH-OFP (the former PT-MRP) visited for the first time from Amsterdam on the KLM1073/4 early rotation, whilst at dusk FlyBe. DHC-8 400 G-JECU made the hop up from Exeter as BEE375.

Gulfstream 550 D-ADCA diverted in at daybreak whilst enroute Luton > Liverpool > Stuttgart as DCS614 and later in the morning, Challenger 600 D-BUSY departed as "Premium496". Gulf 550 N3050 vacated NEA after a four day stay mid afternoon.

Falcon 900EX VP-CNZ appeared out of the NEA hangar mid morning and left for Moscow. The aircraft is the former N600LF, and did have marks G-HNJC reserved by the CAA.

Other executive movements during the day included the departure of Challenger 604 D-AUKE after nightstop, plus visits from Learjet 45 CS-TLW (OAV366) and CL600 D-BUSY (PMU530).

Iberia Airbus 320 EC-HDK diverted in during the morning as IBE3182 due to fog at Dublin whilst inbound from Madrid.

An unusual 'movement' saw Pakistan Int'l 777 AP-BGY -PIA723- and FlyBe. DHC-8 G-JEDR -BEE866- reportedly get a bit too intimate (the day for that sort of thing was yesterday??!) as the two passed close by whilst preparing for departure from Runway 24R. The pair subsequently returned to stand for checks and attention.

The new look Brussels Airlines continues to appear out of the merger of SNBA & Virgin Express, with Avro RJ OO-DWD visiting again from the Belgian capital mid afternoon as DAT2177/8.

The elusive to Manchester BA 146 G-OINV positioned down from the highlands to operate Connect services to Milan & Brussels during the day.

GA and exec visitors included another appearance from Edinburgh Air Charter Beech 200 G-OMGI, this time in front of the cameras, touching down as EDC116.

Hamburg International Boeing 737-300 D-AHIG made a first visit as such, operating for Air Berlin from Hamburg during the morning as BER8264.

The latest batch of executive aircraft on show included TAG Aviation Citation XL HB-VND, Citation 550 D-CIFA and Gulfstream 4 N510MG.

Citation 560XL HB-VMU touched down late morning as "Jet Aviation 401" (PJS401) for a few hours on the NEA ramp.

An odd movement saw Aurigny ATR-42 G-CDFF arrive mid afternoon wearing former Air Wales basic livery with small Flightline fuselage titles, position in on a EuroManx callsign. The Isle of Man carrier subsequently cancelled remaining flights across the Irish Sea and the aircraft left as FLT079P. Phew!

Early morning problems with a Helvetic Airways Fokker 100 saw Swiss substitute an Airbus 320 on the daytime SWR394/395 rotation from Zurich with HB-IJV assigned.

Antonov Design Bureau AN124 UR-82027 returned from Cancun, Mexico during Saturday evening and remained on the ramp throughout the day.

A morning of 'deja vu' saw Malmo RJ-100 SE-DSU arrive for a further one hour stay before returning home as "Scanwing905".

Turkish Airlines debuted another 'paint still fresh' Airbus 321, with TC-JRD assigned to the latest flight from Istanbul.

Exec traffic was brisk, including a second appearance within a week from newly registered BAE125 G-FINK, NetJets Falcon 900 CS-DFL (NJE941T/007P) and Italian 125 I-AZFB. Saturday morning arrival, Learjet 60 N613H parked remote.

Recent Turkish Airlines Airbus 321 delivery TC-JRC arrived from Istanbul in grey skies later in the morning assigned to THY1994.

Pakistan International 777-300 AP-BHW brightened up the dull weather, touching down from Boeing Paine Field on a delivery flight as PIA7734. The aircraft continued its journey to Karachi later in the afternoon.

Etihad Airways Boeing 777-300 A6-ETB left for London Gatwick during the first part of the morning as ETD307A after nightstop on Terminal 2.

A day of 'new' things to look at, at Ringway continued apace with Iberworld A330 EC-JHP operating for Thomas Cook as TCX052L to New Orleans, XL Airways 757 G-VKNA rebranded in new company colours, overnight arrival Globespan 737 G-CDEG heading back to Stansted and amongst a gaggle of Birmingham snow diversions, sparkly Ryanair 737 EI-DPI debuted from Dublin (RYR556), as did Qatar Airways' A330 A7-AEI from Doha (QTR043).

Late morning GA movements almost going amiss amongst the heaver metal included Gulfstream 3 N163PA displaying a military livery from its days serving with the Danish Air Force and Piper Malibu Meridian N338DB.

The usual UK winter weather rule that anything different to normal = Chaos, applied again, with morning snow closing runways in the south. As a result, Manchester Airport was kept busy with diversions. Pick of the many included Etihad Boeing 777-300 A6-ETB (ETD 307 Abu Dhabi > Gatwick and will nightstop), Air Berlin A320 D-ABDL (BER8460 Nuremberg > Stansted), LZ-WZA of WizzAir (WZZ201B Budapest > Luton) and Sun Express Boeing 757 TC-SND (SXS160 Antalya > Stansted).

West Air Europe ATP LX-WAP visited amongst the excitement as WLX3LA mid morning on behalf of Air Contractors.

Iberia Airbus 321 EC-JDR touched down through the moisture at midday, arriving with the Spanish national football team off for their midweek fixture with England. The aircraft returned to Madrid an hour later.

More blue sky, and another new Ryanair fleet member making a first appearance at Ringway. EI-DPH made the short hop over the Irish sea on the early afternoon RYR554 Dublin flight.

Hemus Air Boeing 737-400 LZ-HVA made an appearance from Sofia during the afternoon operating LZB499 in place of the usual Bulgaria Air 737-300.

Earlier in the day, the 'elusive' thus far Ryanair Boeing 737-800 EI-DLW finally showed its hand, making a 2nd visit from Dublin amongst a flush of Liverpool-based company 737s, which all went west as RYR01P-05P either side of midday after an overnight stay.

Another flight re-routed from Speke was FlyGlobespan 737-800 G-SAAW, back out to Stansted as GSM051 having arrived late Saturday. 

Providing a splash of colour in the sun were Titan Airways' recently repainted Boeing 737-300 G-ZAPM on BA Connect schedules throughout the day, and classic European 737-200 G-CEAE operating a return charter from Rome before positioning out to Cardiff.

Delta Air Lines continue to use Ringway as a stop on their from Mumbai to New York with 777-200 N865DA again passing through as DAL17.

TAG Aviation Global Express HB-JEX arrived as FPG478 mid morning for a two hour stay on the NEA ramp.

Swedish Air Force Hercules 84001 '841' touched down to spend the afternoon on the ramp before departing at dusk.

PrivatAir Airbus 319 D-APAC passed through early afternoon from Gander and on to Dusseldorf as DLH437/437R.

Poor visibility during the afternoon caused diversions away, but those that did make it in before the fog descended included second visits from Qatar A330 A7-ACK, Sky Europe 737-700 OM-NGG from Bratislava/Salzburg and Austrian Lauda Boeing 737-800 OE-LNP on the weekly Innsbruck ski charter.

A day of first visits saw appearances from 737-300 LN-KKC on the early morning Norwegian Air Shuttle flight from Bergen, Delta Boeing 767-300 N176DZ in from New York JFK and Air France A320 F-GKXN on the afternoon AFR2268.

Blink and you miss it! Falcon 900EX G-GALX departed late morning after an overnight stay on the NEA hangar apron having touched down mid evening Thursday.

A new month, another new Ryanair Boeing 737, with EI-DPG gracing the tarmac for the first time on the early afternoon RYR554 Dublin schedule.

More exec aircraft traffic (its just like there's a big casino nearby!!) included appearances from Gulfstream 4 N71JN and Challenger 604 OE-IKP mid afternoon.
