G-CELB. Boeing 737-300 [27/2/06] Photo: Denis NormanFinding itself on the 'wrong side' of the hills, the Jet2 Yorkshire Boeing 737-300 G-CELB visited Manchester during the day arriving from Edinburgh and out to Budapest as LS781/897.

G-CDNK. Learjet 45 [27/2/06] Photo: Denis NormanGold Air Learjet 45 G-CDNK arrived in the early hours from Palma as GDA95B for a morning on a busy NEA ramp before heading off to Northolt as GDA30A. Gulfstream 550 CS-DKD departed after nightstop as NJE550P, Gulf 4 N493QS arrived from across the Atlantic, Learjet 31 LX-OMC visited either side of midday and the rest of the day saw four more Netjets arrivals.

A6-EBL. Boeing 777-300 [26/2/06] Photo: Ken FieldingEmirates recently accepted their own new Boeing 777 into an ever expanding fleet, -300ER model A6-EBL made only its second recorded visit to the UK, and first to Manchester, on the EK017/018 Dubai rotation late morning.

G-JECK. DHC-8 400 [26/2/06] Photo: Dan RaistrickNot to be outdone in the new aircraft stakes, FlyBe. sent latest DHC-8 400 acquisitions G-JECK & G-JECL from Exeter (BE375/376) and Southampton (BE871/872) during the evening.

G-MAJT. Jetstream 41 [22/2/06] Photo: Ken FieldingJetstream 41 G-MAJT again showed its former American identity wearing a basic livery, and covering the morning Inverness EZE81VM/82VM Eastern Airways flight.

Tuesday 21st February

Citation 560 N652NR seen on a previous visit to the North West, touching down at Blackpool on 13/9/05 [Photo: Dan Raistrick]Executive movements commenced in the early hours, with Learjet 60 9H-AEE calling in unexpectedly as JLN202/212.

In the hours of daylight, Citation 560 N652NR arrived to spend the morning at NEA as "Cross Air 71/72", alongside King Air D-IATM and Netjets Falcon 2000EX CS-DFK (NJE553A/553F).

Eastern Airways recent Jetstream 41 acquisition G-MAJT operated from/to Inverness throughout the day, and an aircraft change saw Ryanair 737-800 EI-DLF fly the late evening FR558/559.

Monday 20th February

A7-AEF. Airbus 330 [20/2/06] Photo: Tony WoofQatar Airways recently added new build Airbus 330 A7-AEF to its expanding fleet, the aircraft making its debut from Doha during a chilly evening as QR043/044, wearing the orange Asian Games 2006 livery.

CS-TLT. Learjet 45 [20/2/06] Photo: Rob SkinkisAt NEA, Citation XLS CS-DXG visited from Venezia/to London City during the morning as NJE264E/264H, there was another appearance from Omni  Learjet 45 CS-TLT (OAV359), and Hawker 800XP CS-DFW arrived from Jersey late evening as "Fraction 553G".

Sunday 19th February

EC-JFB. Boeing 737-800 [19/2/06] Photo: Paul YatesThe morning saw a pair of new Boeing 737-800s grace Terminal 1: Futura example EC-JFB the first to arrive -operating a charter from Tenerife as FUA9767/9768.

EI-DLE. Boeing 737-800 [19/2/06] Photo: Dan RaistrickRyanair Boeing 737-800 EI-DLE then touched down from Dublin on the morning FR554/555 rotation, making its third visit since delivery to the low fare airline in February.

G-OBYC. Boeing 767-300 [18/2/06] Photo: Dale ColemanThomsonfly Boeing 767-300 G-OBYC recently returned from Hajj lease to Garuda Indonesia and was seen in the sunshine arriving from Salzburg as BY669F late morning.

VP-BFC. Citationjet2 [18/2/06] Photo: Dan RaistrickCitationjet 525A VP-BFC (the former N312CJ) touched down shortly after midday to join C-GTDE, CS-DRE and Scot Airways Dornier 328 G-CCGS at NEA. Other exec arrivals during the afternoon included King Air EC-IUX (HSS561) and Learjet 45 CS-TLT (OAV359).

TF-JXA. MD-82 [17/2/06] Photo: Rob SkinkisWearing an inspiring livery, Jet X MD-82 TF-JXA touched down from Keflavik shortly after midday as JXX503, an operated outbound as FLY8166.

C-GTDE. Learjet 35 [16/2/06] Photo: Denis NormanSkyservice Learjet 35 C-GTDE remained present on the NEA apron throughout the day alongside Hawker 800XP CS-DRE after a Thursday afternoon arrival from across the Atlantic.

Thursday 16th February

OH-LZE. Airbus 321 [16/2/06] Photo: Denis NormanNotables amongst the schedules during the day included Finnair Airbus 321 OH-LZE, an aircraft type change on the morning AY933/934 and two visits from Dublin from Ryanair 737-800 EI-DHV (FR554/5 + 556/7).

CS-DRE. Hawker 800XP [16/2/06] Photo: Denis NormanOver at the NEA ramp, another new Netjets aircraft - Hawker 800 CS-DRE, remained present having arrived from Madrid on Wednesday evening.

Gulf 550 G-JCBC pictured 'at home' at East Midlands on 22/1/06 [Photo: Steve Hall] JCBamford Gulfstream 550 G-JCBC ("JCB 1") made a first visit, touching down on the stroke of midnight for an initial overnight stay, later making a brief return from Leipzig and out to Luton in the hours of darkness.

G-MATX. Pilatus PC-XII [15/2/06] Photo: Denis NormanRecently registered Pilatus PC-XII G-MATX made two visits during the day, the second touching down early evening to park on the NEA ramp.

N3546. Gulf 5 [15/2/06] Photo: Tim BroganOther executive movements included a departure from Gulfstream 5 N3546 after its three-day stay and Netjets Hawker 800XP CS-DRE from Madrid as NJE393Q.

HB-IJR. Airbus 320 [14/2/06] Photo: Denis NormanSwiss again rotated aircraft type on their schedules to Zurich with Airbus 320 pair HB-IJR & IJW visiting on their afternoon and evening rotations.

G-CELU. Boeing 737-300 [14/2/06] Photo: Denis NormanJet2 had a change around during the day with non-based Boeing 737-300 G-CELU arriving from Geneva shortly after midday as LS812 to nightstop.

D-IZZY. P180 Avanti [14/2/06] Photo: Rob SkinkisPiaggio P180 Avanti D-IZZY departed early afternoon after nightstop, whilst Nike Gulf 5 N3546 remained on the NEA ramp.

Monday 13th February

Catching the sleepy heads out, newly delivered Ryanair Boeing 737-800 'EI-DLE' visited on the early FR552/553 Dublin flight, sharing apron space for a time with easyJet 737-300 G-IGOR -an Alicante > Liverpool diversion as EZY7116.

OY-VKG. Airbus 330 [3/12/05] Photo: Phil TaylorAirbus 330 pair OY-VKG & OY-VKI returned from Hajj lease to Garuda Indonesia overnight, touching down as MYT9996 & MYT9992 for attention at the MyTravel engineering facility.

Gulfstream 5 N3546 touched down late evening, preceded by Avanti D-IZZY, and providing the main executive interest of the day.

Citation 550 [10/2/06] Photo: Rob Skinkisover, and an executive jet round up including AD Aviation Citation 550 G-VUEZ and Citylynx Canadair Regional Jet G-ELNX.

TC-OAL. Airbus 321 [10/2/06] Photo: Denis NormanAfter a brief spell away, Onur Air made a return to Manchester, with Airbus 321 TC-OAL visiting from Dalaman as OHY379/380 during the morning wearing the new livery.
