Irish Air Corps Learjet 45 "Irish 258" touched down shortly before midday, parking for just over 30 minutes.

Continuing the military movements, Emirates Navy Learjet 35 '800' arrived mid afternoon.

Completing the execjet roundup, Citation 560XL VP-BSD paid another visit late morning.

Royal Jordanian Airbus 310 JY-AGM operated the latest Hajj flight in the early hours as RJ6609/6610 from/to Amman.

Airbus 321 EC-ILG operated the only Volar Tenerife charter out of the expected four, touching down late morning as LTE764.

Air Europa Boeing 737-800 EC-III visited from Lanzarote as AEA205/206 after lunch as the weather changed.

Netjets Europe Gulfstream 5 CS-DKB positioned up from Luton as NJE744P for a two hour stay at daybreak whilst London Executive Citation XL G-SIRS called in from/to Stansted as LNX601P/601H later in the day.

Virgin Express Boeing 737-300 OO-LTU arrived from Lille during the evening as VEX4205.

Eritrean Boeing 767-300 E3-AAO made a return visit at noon, touching down as ERT1100. The aircraft is on Hajj charter duty, and is provisionally planned to make at least seven more visits by the end of January.

Colourful Hola Airlines Boeing 737-300 EC-IFV arrived from Palma early morning as WW9415 operating a bmi Baby flight.

Sub charters during the morning saw Thomas Cook AG Boeing 757-300 D-ABOG position in to operate for Thomsonfly to Toulouse as BY700A.

Eagle Aviation Airbus 310 F-GYYY then arrived from Paris CDG as EGN721P to take a plane load to Tenerife on behalf of FlyJet.

Finally, Hamburg Airlines Boeing 737-700 D-AHID arrived as HHI991F to fly to Kittila as AEU536A for Astraeus.

Futura Boeing 737-400 EC-IZG arrived empty from Malaga as FUA717P during the morning to operate to Tenerife as FUA1718.

Other Tenerife charters of note included Volar Airbus 321 pair EC-IXY (LTE764/765) and EC-ILG (LTE766/767) late morning.

Hapag Lloyd Airbus 310 D-AIDD continued to operate for Thomsonfly, out to Fuerteventura as BY338A first thing returning later as '338B.

GIR Jet Fokker 100 EC-IVO positioned from Edinburgh during the morning to operate a delayed EUJ276 flight to Manston on behalf of EU Jet.

Austrian Airlines' former Lauda Boeing 737-600 OE-LNM made an appearance after lunch, operating a ski charter from Innsbruck and back (via London Gatwick) as AUA9391/9356.

Mid morning saw the arrival of Belgian based Citation N550FP staying for just short of half an hour.

Air Excel leased in a 767-200 presumably to cover for their damaged G-SATR in the shape of TF-ATY, wearing Air Algerie titles.

Jet 2 Boeing 737-300 G-CELE positioned in to operate an inaugural flight to Geneva during the morning as LS811.

Morning first visits amongst the schedules before the usual Netjets influx on a Manchester United football match day included FlyBe. DHC-8 400 G-JEDW on BE863/864 from Southampton and Air France baby Shark (A318!) F-GUGH on AF1968 from Paris CDG.

Due to the football, Aer Lingus increased capacity on their morning EIN202/203 Dublin rotation with A320 EI-CVB assigned.

A German King Air fly-in mid afternoon saw Beech 200s D-IFFB and D-IFUN arrived within a thirty minute spell before sunset.

Air Atlantic Boeing 747-300 TF-AME continued to operate for Travel City Direct transporting the latest batch of self loading freight off for Christmas in the sun.

As way of a change, Moroccan Air Force Hercules CNA-OI visited either side of midday as RMAF250.

Other movements saw recently acquired Air Atlanta Boeing 747-300 TF-AME in action, the aircraft formerly with Corsair as F-GSEA, and Oxaero Citation Bravo G-ORDB. Citation XL VP-BMD arrived after dark.

Not too far from 'home', Leeds-based Multiflight Boeing Business Jet2 G-OBBJ departed early afternoon after nightstop.

Of note amongst the regular schedules were KLM Boeing 737-900 PH-BXT, operating the mid-morning KL1075 Amsterdam flight and Air France A318 F-GUGG on AF1968 and later the AF1468 nightstopper from Paris CDG.

Airbus 330 N672UW caused a stir during an otherwise quiet morning. After declaring a full emergency the aircraft touched down safely at 11:10am and without further incident. The reason: flap failure.

Dornier 328Jet N328PT visited for around two hours during a misty morning which also saw several diversions, most notable being Air Europa 737-800 EC-IDT as AEA243 which should have arrived at Teesside from Tenerife, and Jet2 737 G-CELC, in as LS252 from Faro in the early hours then finally completing its journey to Leeds as LS252P early afternoon.

MyTravel A330 OY-VKH departed east after overnight attention as DK9997 bound for Garuda Hajj lease.

Air Berlin Boeing 737-700 D-ABBN touched down early morning displaying the new Boeing corporate image and operating AB8112 from Paderborn.

easyJet Boeing 737-300 G-IGOP arrived at Manchester instead of Liverpool during the evening. After declaring an emergency due to reported flap problems the aircraft, operating EZY7038 from Amsterdam, touched down without further incident.

Airbus 320 EC-JDO (the former OY-VKN) was finally delivered to new Spanish startup Vueling. VLG001P vacated MyTravel Engineering at noon bound for Barcelona.

NEA were kept busy during the day with Citation 560XL pair CS-DFP and G-XLMB noted.

VEGA Air Antonov 12 LZ-VEE departed early afternoon as VEG3703 after arriving early hours on Thursday.

Excel Airways Boeing 767-300 G-VKNG the newest acquisition to the fleet postioned up from London Gatwick to operate XLA852 to Barbados.

First Choice Boeing 757 'C-FUBG' was noted outside the FLS pending wet lease to Canada for the winter season.

Manchester Airport, Thursday 2nd December

VEGA Air Antonov 12 LZ-VEE arrived in the early hours as VEG3702 from Helsinki to park on the freight apron overnight.

As the recent spell of adverse weather continues to affect airports across the country, Cargolux Boeing 747-400F LX-MCV was the latest freighter to swap fog at Prestwick for some mist at Manchester, making it in as CV779 early afternoon for a three hour stay.

Whilst OY-VKO headed off to pastures new (Sharjah, as DK9991 early morning), A320 OY-VKN was noted outside MyTravel engineering during the day wearing full Vueling livery.

Polar Cargo Boeing 747-200 N920FT touched down as PAC8529 shortly after lunch, diverting from Frankfurt whilst inbound Prestwick due fog at destination.
