Winglet-equipped Continental Boeing 757-200 N14106 made a long awaited appearance, operating the morning CO100/101 Newark schedule.

Pegasus Boeing 737-800 TC-APJ visited from Bodrum on a charter mid evening as PGT441/442, as did TC-API earlier in the day as PGT413/414. Completing the Turkish roundup, Atlasjet Boeing 757-200 TC-OGB made a late night appearance from Izmir as OGE617/618 .

Yes Charter TriStar CS-TMX continued the pattern of aircraft positioning in from Lisbon to operate for UK charter airlines this summer, arriving as TCX135P to cover an outbound flight to Monastir during the evening.

Hemus Air Tupolev 154 LZ-HMH visited on the evening BGH5559/5560 Balkan Holidays Burgas charter.

MNG Cargo Airbus 300 TC-MND visited from Istanbul with freight early evening as "Black Sea 1001".

Sun Express Boeing 737-800 TC-SUJ visited from Gatwick and on to Antalya as SXS630 mid evening.

Sky Boeing 737-400 TC-SKA replaced the usual Freebird Airbus 320 on the FHY605/606 Dalaman charter, arriving over nine hours late.

Former Ryanair Boeing 737-200 G-FIGP (EI-CJI) paid its first visit under new European Air Charter identity, positioning in from Marrakech as EAF590P.

Air Mediterranee classic Boeing 737-200 F-GCSL touched down from Luton mid morning to operate a charter to Lourdes as BIE322.

"White" Airbus 310 CS-TKI positioned in from Lisbon to operate to Dalaman for Thomas Cook during the afternoon as TCX657L.

Under threatening late summer skies, Falcon 900 N965M arrived during the evening. Earlier in the afternoon, Silver Arrows Falcon 50 LX-FMR vacated the NEA ramp after nightstop as SVW823R.

Another day, another Ryanair Boeing 737-800 first visit. This time the turn for EI-CSZ -used as a billboard to convey the 'low fare' message to Europe- to fly the afternoon Dublin rotations.

Air Madrid Airbus 330 SE-RBG visited from Barajas early evening on a charter, touching down under the callsign "Alada 8003".

Atlas Air Boeing 747-200 N540MC diverted in early hours of the morning remaining on the remote stands for most of the day, before departing mid afternoon.

Ryanair Boeing 737-200s will very soon be a thing of the past at Ringway, hence the recent 'phasing in' of -800 series aircraft on daily flights to Dublin. EI-DAH was the latest to first visit, assigned to the afternoon FR554/555 & FR556/557 rotations from the Emerald Isle.

MNG Cargo Airbus 300F TC-MNN visited during the first part of the day as MNB1003 from Istanbul and out to Cologne -slightly earlier for a change!

Hemus Air Tupolev 154 LZ-HMS visited, operating the Balkan Holidays 5559/5560 charter from/to Burgas early evening.

Challenger 300 A6-SMS remained on NEA throughout the day, and was joined mid morning by Gulfstream 4SP A6-OME for a six hour stay. Netjets Citation Bravo CS-DHK touched down from Ireland early evening as NJE701F.

C130J Hercules ZH881 arrived early evening as "Ascot 500", after providing transport to the RAF Falcons display team who performed a parachute drop in the area.

Skyservice Boeing 757-200 C-FFAN paid another visit late morning from/to Toronto as SSV230/231. The aircraft still wears part MyTravel livery from its days as G-WJAN.

Loganair sent Saab 340 G-LGNJ for its first visit on their midday Londonderry LOG962/963 schedule, wearing the ever-impressive overall white paint job.

Executive movements included an early morning arrival from German Beech 90 D-IEAH. The aircraft parked on the NEA ramp.

Futura Boeing 737-800s swapped over on charters from Manchester during the day, with EI-DJU departing early morning to Palma, and EI-DJT arriving in the opposite direction as FUA191M at midday.

Emirates Boeing 777-300 A6-EMN operated a delayed EK017/018 from Dubai, touching down late afternoon.

Helios Airways continues service into Ringway as normal, with Boeing 737-800 5B-DBI assigned to ZU414/415 from Paphos.

Movements related to the afternoon Wigan v Chelsea football match saw Boeing 767-300 P4-MES touch down for its second appearance and Eurocopter 155 LX-HEC act as passenger transit to the game.

Other executive visitors included Netjets Citation Bravo CS-DHO out after nightstop as NJE1ZQ and Citation XLS CS-DXD in from Luton early evening as "Fraction 73K".

Hemus Air Tupolev 154 LZ-HMH made a surprise appearance on Balkan Holidays' evening charter to Burgas as BGH5559/5560.

British Airways 747-400 G-CIVN was the first of the heavies to position out to Heathrow after an enforced two-day stay, departing a wet Ringway early afternoon as BA122P.

Despite an exotic livery, ATR-42 G-DRFC couldn't brighten up the gloomy weather. The aircraft operated for Air Southwest during the morning as WOW30L/31M.

British Airways Boeing 747-400 pair G-BNLF and G-BNLJ joined the nightstopping G-CIVN diverting in from Bangkok and Hong Kong as BA032 & BA010 respectively early morning. The aircraft should have landed at Heathrow but a staff strike at the time (called off at 1700BST on Friday) decided otherwise.

Other movements included a registration first visit from Sky Europe Boeing 737-500 OM-SEG on the midday NE190/191 Bratislava schedule. The aircraft is however the former HA-LKP.

A burst of executive traffic during the evening included arrivals from Beech Premier LX-PMR (BAT11X), GlobEx HB-INJ and Learjet 55 D-CATL (IFA1312).

British Airways Boeing 747-400 G-CIVN diverted to Manchester from Mauritius instead of routing direct Heathrow mid evening as BA122.

Gulfstream 4 N800BQ was also an early afternoon arrival, heading the list of executive traffic seen throughout the day.

WDL BAe 146 D-AWUE operated to and from Glasgow late afternoon for BA Citiexpress on rotations as BRT48G & BRT4DT.

Sun Adria/Trade Air Fokker 100 9A-BTD made a first appearance at Ringway, arriving as AHU8610 with the Debrecen football team for their midweek match against Manchester United.

Executive movements saw RAF BAe 125 ZE395 touch down as "Ascot 1927", Rockwell Commander N840TC visit for the first time since taking up its new US registration (formerly XC-HAB) and comedy-registered Learjet 40 G-MOOO arrive from across the Pond at nightfall.

Notables amongst the schedules included Luxair Embraer 135 LX-LGL on their morning LG4984/4985 Luxembourg and Dublin rotation, Sun Air Dornier 328 OY-NCU on the early SUS47U/48U from Billund and a welcome return for the smart 'Corporate Boeing' 737-700 D-ABBN on the mid-afternoon Air Berlin 8264/8265 Hamburg schedule.

Former all-white Freebird Airbus 320 TC-FBY recently received the new livery of the Turkish operator, and was seen operating their morning FHY605/606 Dalaman charter, returning later in the day as FHY705/706.

Adria Airways drafted in Air Adriatic MD-83 9A-CBJ to operate a delayed JP462/463 from Ljubljana, arriving shortly after sunset.
